“Performance Powerhouses” WONHO, KWON EUNBI, and VVUP to Head to Belluna Dome in May… Confirmed for ‘ASEA 2026’

The 3rd ASIA STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS 2026 (hereinafter referred to as 'ASEA 2026'), a music festival where top-tier artists representing Asia gather, will be held over two days on May 16th and 17th at Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. On April 1st, the organizing committee announced that WONHO, KWON EUNBI, and VVUP have been confirmed to perform. WONHO, who entered the music scene in 2015, released his first full-length album 'SYNDROME' last October, garnering significant support from fans worldwide. He has also demonstrated a strong presence in the concert sector, successfully completing his second world tour, 'STAY AWAKE,' from last July through the first half of this year. He toured four cities in Latin America, ten cities in Europe, and Saitama, Japan, sharing passionate moments with many spectators. Given his global popularity driven by powerful live performances, attention is focused on what kind of stage he will present at 'ASEA' on May 17th. KWON EUNBI debuted as the leader of the group IZ*ONE in 2018 following her appearance on Mnet's 'PRODUCE 48.' After the group's activities concluded, she made a successful start as a solo artist with her first mini-album 'OPEN' in 2021. The title track of her third mini-album 'Lethality,' titled 'Underwater,' became a 'reverse-run' hit on various music charts, solidifying her global popularity. Furthermore, she has become a hot topic for her live performances that combine explosive energy and stability on the 'WATERBOMB' stage, earning her nicknames such as 'Performance Queen,' 'Goddess of WATERBOMB,' and 'Reverse-run Icon.' KWON EUNBI will appear on the second day of the stage, May 17th. VVUP (Kim, Paan, Suyeon, Jiyun), who debuted in 2024 with the single 'Doo Doom Chit,' released a series of tracks starting with the single '4 Life' in January of last year, followed by 'Giddy Boy' in June, 'House Party' in October, and their first mini-album 'VVON' in November. Notably, with their mini-album, they achieved the remarkable feat of reaching number one on the iTunes R&B/Soul album charts in the home countries of members Kim (Indonesia) and Paan (Thailand). Furthermore, they ranked high on iTunes K-POP charts in multiple countries and regions, including 3rd in Russia, 7th in Indonesia, 9th in France, 11th in the UK, 17th in Hong Kong, and 88th in Japan. Amidst their rising global momentum, VVUP will perform at 'ASEA' on May 16th. Launched in 2024, 'ASEA' has established itself as a global awards ceremony that selects and honors artists who exert influence not only in Asia but across the world every year, while showcasing high-level performances. This year, a large number of top-tier artists who have achieved significant results over the past year are scheduled to participate and put on spectacular stages. ATEEZ, &TEAM, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, IDID, KWON EUNBI, NOWZ, THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, VVUP, WONHO, and xikers (listed in alphabetical order) have been confirmed to perform. MONSTA X's Hyungwon and IVE's Rei will serve as MCs for the first day, and singer-actor Lee Jun-ho and Go Yoon-jung have also been announced to appear. 'ASEA 2026' is hosted by NEWSEN, Korea's leading entertainment and sports media outlet celebrating its 21st anniversary, the star & style magazine '@style' celebrating its 14th anniversary, THE STAR E&M, and Contents Monster, and is organized by the ASEA Organizing Committee.
