15-Year-Old Idol Directs, Writes, and Stars! Turning Her Experience into a Film - The Story of a Shut-in Girl with Orthostatic Intolerance Finding the Light
Airis, a 15-year-old idol and entrepreneur, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for her original movie 'Ascension Crystal ~Airi's Story~'. Based on her own experiences with orthostatic intolerance and school refusal, the film aims to promote understanding and proposes a new form of social contribution through 'oshikatsu' (fan support).

## I am the different-dimension idol, Airis!
This movie is an adaptation of a novel written by Airis herself, based on past events in my own life.
However, it is not a story that ends by treating school refusal or orthostatic intolerance merely as a "dark past."
It is a story that depicts:
**The time I continued to live despite it all**
**The heart that still cared for someone else**
**The light that was undoubtedly there**
The fundamental driving force behind Airis's activities is to publicly share about "orthostatic intolerance" and "school refusal" in order to deepen understanding, even just a little, and to make the illness known to more people.
Since my debut, I've always thought, "I want to adapt this into a visual work someday," and considering the timeframe during which I can play myself, now is the only time to shoot it!
I made the firm decision: "I'm just going to take on the challenge!"
Therefore, this work proposes a "new form of oshikatsu (fan activity)" where the act of supporting one's favorite directly connects to social contribution.
Fans' support will not only sustain the film's production but also, through post-completion screening events and DVD distribution, serve as a force to deliver hope to children and parents facing the same struggles.
**We aim to have the passion of entertainment generate a cycle of kindness, expanding the choices available to children with a future.**
## [Social Issues x Fantasy] A Movie That Can Be Conveyed to Children
This work is a coming-of-age story where reality and fantasy intersect, based on the real-life experiences of the actual girl, "Airis."
**Bullying, school refusal, orthostatic intolerance.**
While tackling the realities modern children face head-on, the story by no means ends only with "suffering."
Through fantasy elements like the Rainbow Goddess Iris and the "Ascension Crystal," the protagonist learns the following:
Light is not something given from the outside.
It's simply remembering what was already inside you all along.
This work will be an ally to children and parents in similar circumstances, to "someone who wasn't understood."
**Airis herself experienced school refusal for the first time in the second grade of elementary school, and in the sixth grade, made the "choice not to go to school."**
Because I am someone who lived through it, and precisely because I am not yet an adult, I will make a movie that people will find "interesting and want to see" from a perspective as close to a child's as possible.
Furthermore, filming will take place in Airis's hometown of Fukuoka.
Borrowing the strength of the "assistant director," technical staff, and cast members, I will do my best to cooperate with everyone and deliver this work to you!
**The Message This Work Wants to Convey**
- School refusal is not a "failure" but one of many choices
- Compulsory education is not a duty imposed on the child
- Illness and mental health struggles are not laziness
- Entertainment has the power to keep people alive
- The light (hope) is already inside everyone's heart from the beginning
In this work, we will naturally weave in social messages as a story, while also touching upon the true meaning of the Educational Opportunity Security Act.
**Social Significance and Contribution**
- Promoting correct understanding of school refusal and orthostatic intolerance
- Creating opportunities to prevent the isolation of affected individuals and parents
- Content that reaches adults while still being aimed at children
- Presenting a new relationship between schools, families, and society
This work is not a movie that ends merely with "raising an issue." It aims to be a work that acts like a "place of belonging where people in similar circumstances can feel they are not alone."
**Genre: School/Social Issues x Fantasy**
**Original Concept: Airis (A novel based on actual experiences)**

This is a story I have been writing since my debut with the hopes of adapting it to film someday.
**Themes: School Refusal / Orthostatic Intolerance / Educational Opportunity Security Act / Self-Affirmation / Hope / Parent-Child Bond**
**Features of Expression and Direction**
**- Live-Action x Fantasy**
**- Fusion of 2D Illustration Character VTuber Airis (Rainbow Iris model currently in development)**
**- Magical girl-style transformation scenes, appearance of a talking dog**
**- A safety design emphasizing the balance between darkness and hope. While considering a child's perspective, we value a tone that is neither too heavy nor too light.**

### [Reason for Taking on Crowdfunding]
This movie is a work that prioritizes "reaching people" over commercial success.
That is exactly why——
Rather than being sponsor-led, **I want to create it together with people who empathize with the vision.**
Crowdfunding is both fundraising and **gathering companions.**
This movie is not a success story of a special person.
It is the "story of a single girl's choices," moving forward even after losing the light.
And if seeing that figure can make someone's tomorrow feel just a little bit lighter——
That is the reason for making this movie. Please, let us nurture 'Ascension Crystal ~Airi's Story~' together. Thank you for your support.
