ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.4 Released: Connection Limits Removed and New Features

Ascensio Systems Pte. Ltd (Singapore) has released version 9.4 of the open-source office software 'ONLYOFFICE Docs'. This update removes the 20-concurrent connection limit for the free Community edition and introduces numerous improvements across the suite, such as dark document mode for spreadsheets, comprehensive enhancement of form management features, and the addition of 25 new presentation themes and 20 transitions.

## Significant Improvements to Community Edition: Removal of Limits and Optimization
Previously, the Community edition had a 20-concurrent connection limit, which is now completely removed in version 9.4. This is a significant step forward for organizations that have been considering the software but were concerned about the user limit.

Architectural optimizations have also been implemented. Dependency on RabbitMQ and databases has been resolved, and the architecture has been integrated from a multi-process to a single-process configuration, reducing resource consumption and allowing smooth operation even on low-spec servers.

## Spreadsheets: Dark Document Mode
To reduce eye strain from viewing bright spreadsheets for long periods, a 'Dark Document' option has been added to the spreadsheet editor. It can be toggled via the 'View' tab while the overall editor dark theme is enabled, providing a comfortable editing experience for long sessions in dim lighting.

## Enhanced Form Management
The digital form input experience has been greatly improved. Users can now specify recipients directly within the editor and track progress in real-time. Additionally, a smart signature feature has been added, which automatically loads previously used signature images in signature fields, significantly shortening repetitive document verification and contract procedures.

## Presentation Editor Enhancements
25 professionally designed new themes and 20 slide transitions have been added. This eliminates the effort of starting from a blank slide, making it easier to create professional-grade presentations tailored to business needs.

## Other Improvements
Other suite-wide improvements include the addition of horizontal line insertion in the document editor, a new 'Graph Design' tab in the web editor that consolidates graph settings, expanded paste options in the desktop app, a manual save button for mobile apps and mobile web versions, and support for the Croatian interface. For system administrators using Docs Enterprise, detailed WOPI settings for SharePoint integration have been added to the management panel.
