Asante Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Sei Miyauchi) (hereinafter Asante), which provides comprehensive house maintenance services including termite control, in a joint project with the weather company Weather Map Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Akira Mori) (hereinafter Weather Map), has released the 'Asante x Weather Map Termite Live Map 2026' (https://www.asante.co.jp/alert/), which predicts and visualizes this year's termite occurrence status.

[Joint Project] 3 Core Contents Provided by Asante x Weather Map
This project is an 'Occurrence Prediction and Live Project' that integrates the 17 years of termite investigation and construction data accumulated by Asante with Weather Map's weather analysis technology. This year, in addition to daily updates of the 'Termite Occurrence Map' and 'Swarming Advisory,' the accuracy and real-time nature of information will be further enhanced by expanding the observation points to 10 locations in 5 prefectures for 'time-series fixed-point observation' of termites, promoting the dissemination of information to protect precious homes.

1. Termite Occurrence Map (Created by Asante) [Daily Update]
Based on thousands of investigation requests received annually from customers nationwide, actual occurrence points are plotted in real-time on Google Maps.
- Actual measurement data on site: During the period, the latest occurrence information from the previous day is added daily. Areas where pins on the map rapidly increase are visualized.
- Track record of over 3,000 cases: Last year, over 3,000 location points were displayed. A massive amount of actual measurement data supports the improvement of prediction accuracy.
2. Winged Termite Swarming Advisory (Supervised by Weather Map) [Daily Update]
Based on the vast amount of termite occurrence data over the past 17 years provided by Asante, Weather Map calculates risks using a uniquely developed prediction algorithm.
- Unique prediction system: Scientifically identifies weather conditions under which termites swarm, such as temperature, humidity, and weather changes after precipitation.
- 3 levels of warning: 'Advisory', 'Warning', and 'Strict Warning' are announced daily for each primary subdivision area of the Japan Meteorological Agency.
3. Fixed-point Observation of Termites at 10 Observation Points (Photographed by Asante)
From observation points set up in 10 locations across 5 prefectures: Fukushima, Tochigi, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, and Aichi, we will publish time-series photos showing the transformation into winged termites, an ecological change specific to this season.
- Tracking the moment winged termites take flight: We deliver signs of winged termites crawling out to the surface from observation points set up within Asante's sales areas.
- Professional visual information: By comparing photos (2 to 5 photos) at each observation point in chronological order, we visually convey the 'signs of occurrence' which are difficult to communicate in words.
[Database Utilization] 2025 Edition Archive and 'Weather Map of Termite Swarming'
Since the data for 2026 is still being accumulated as of the release on April 15, the '2025 Edition,' which is optimal for understanding trends, is provided alongside to ensure the depth of information.

- Looking back at last year's occurrence peak: Covers over 3,000 plotted points from last year and the track record of regional warning level announcements (last year's peaks were April 30 and May 7).
- 'Typical Weather Map' when swarming occurs: From the past swarming date data accumulated by Asante, Weather Map identifies the 'Typical Weather Map' of swarming occurrence dates. Explains the weather conditions.

For Japan, the 3 years up to last year (2025) have been the 'hottest 3 years in recorded history,' and there is a tendency for the temperature increase to be larger especially in 'late spring to early summer' when termite activity is most active. Perhaps because this affects termite behavior, the timing of swarming is becoming more complex year by year.
However, Asante's unique observation network will not miss such termite movements! If used together with Weather Map's swarming prediction, it is like giving an iron club to an oni (invincibility). Please check it out!
