Asahi Breweries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Kazuo Matsuyama) will begin airing a new TV commercial for its RTD* product "Asahi GINON" titled "NON-neechan Arrives" starting March 31. Actor Riho Yoshioka has been appointed as the CM character for this campaign.
The "NON-neechan Arrives" spot begins with a scene where a customer at an izakaya notices a poster of Riho Yoshioka holding an "Asahi GINON Lemon." Yoshioka appears as "NON-neechan," the shop's poster girl who has a deep affection for "GINON," and introduces customers to the refreshing taste made possible only because it is a sugar-free sour crafted with gin. Through the message, "Sugar-free sours are better with gin," the campaign promotes the deliciousness of "GINON" and its excellent compatibility with meals, aiming to enhance brand value and encourage consumption.
*Short for "Ready to Drink." Refers to canned chu-hi and similar beverages that can be consumed immediately after purchase.
"GINON" uses gin infused with citrus peels and distilled to add flavor. It is a sugar-free gin sour that allows consumers to enjoy the natural deliciousness of the ingredients and a refreshing aftertaste. It has been well-received by customers, who note that "despite being sugar-free, the gin flavor enhances the meal and makes it easy to pair with various dishes." In 2025, sales volume reached 3.35 million cases, exceeding the initial target of 3 million cases.
To continue promoting the product's deliciousness and features, the company will continue to actively deploy advertising and sales promotions. In addition to airing approximately 5,000 GRP of TV commercials starting in March, the company will aim to further expand awareness and encourage consumption through in-store campaigns and events.
