Asahi Breweries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Kazuo Matsuyama) will launch "Trapical Sour," an original sour supporting the Hanshin Tigers, at Hanshin Koshien Stadium from April 7.
"Trapical Sour" is an original sour made by mixing 'Asahi GINON Lemon 40-degree 1800ml PET bottle' with 'Orange Squash' carbonated drink and adding shikuwasa syrup. By using "Asahi GINON Lemon," which is sugar-free and has a distinct lemon fruit flavor, the sweetness derived from orange is tightened, resulting in a refreshing and easy-to-drink taste.
The product name "Trapical Sour" combines "Tora" (tiger), symbolizing the Hanshin Tigers, with the image of "Tropical" fruits like oranges, and also carries the meaning of "the tiger shines (performs well)." The icon on the cup features the Hanshin Tigers and "Asahi GINON" logos, and the initial letters of "Trapical Sour" are designed to resemble a baseball bat. The visual, with palm trees and tiger stripes shining in golden color, expresses the excitement of Hanshin Koshien Stadium and the liberation of the tropics.
It will be sold at three locations within Hanshin Koshien Stadium: "Nippon-ichi no Kushikatsu Yokozuna" infield and outfield stores, and the outfield left field 1st floor Gate 16 wagon, for 850 yen (tax included) per cup. *
Currently, "Asahi GINON Lemon" is offered at Hanshin Koshien Stadium and has been well-received for its "refreshing gin taste and easy-to-drink crispness." In response to this feedback, we developed an original sour based on "GINON" to propose a new way to enjoy the stadium experience.
In the future, we plan to expand "Trapical Sour" to restaurants in the Kansai region. As an official sponsor of the Hanshin Tigers, Asahi Breweries will leverage the strengths of our products to propose new ways of enjoyment, thereby boosting the excitement of the Hanshin Tigers and their supporting fans.
