The Asahi Shimbun Company (President and CEO: Katsuki Tsunoda) has announced the winning entries of the "2025 74th Asahi Advertising Award." The Asahi Advertising Award features two entry categories: the "Open Entry," where young creators compete, and the "Advertiser Participation," which targets advertisements published in print media. Entries are accepted in two divisions: the "Newspaper Advertising Division," limited to print, and the "Digital-Integrated Division," which selects campaigns linked to print-based initiatives. In the "Open Entry" category, 29 works were selected from 1,846 entries, including the Digital-Integrated Division. In the "Advertiser Participation" category, 25 works were selected from 123 entries.

The Grand Prix in the "Open Entry – Newspaper Advertising Division" was awarded to a work addressing the theme "Pocari Sweat" by Otsuka Pharmaceutical. Created by Yuuki Yamauchi, the piece conveyed a powerful expression and potential that returns to human essence in an era of rapidly evolving AI.

Experiencing Foreign Language Through Familiar Themes: Open Entry – Digital-Integrated Division

The Grand Prix in the "Open Entry – Digital-Integrated Division" went to "CRAZY MENU," inspired by Kyoto University of Foreign Studies' theme: "The Charm of a Second Foreign Language (Beginner Level)." The work was created by Chie Ichinose and Takato Nakama.

Words Inside Hat Brims Touch the Judges' Hearts: Advertiser Participation – Newspaper Advertising Division

The Grand Prix in the "Advertiser Participation – Newspaper Advertising Division" was awarded to Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.'s series of advertisements featuring messages written on the inside of hat brims. The creative perspective of transforming these hidden messages into advertisements received strong support from the judges.

Spreading Excitement and Connecting with Local Communities: Advertiser Participation – Digital-Integrated Division

The Grand Prix in the "Advertiser Participation – Digital-Integrated Division" was awarded to SoftBank Corp.'s "SoftBank Winter Cup 2025 National Tournament Qualification Commemorative Extra Edition." The project was selected for its innovative approach of linking live broadcasts with commemorative extra editions to deliver regional results.
