About "Momotaro Dentetsu"

"Momotaro Dentetsu" is a board game where players become presidents, collect properties in various locations, and aim to become the wealthiest. Since the first game was released in 1988, the series has sold over 20 million copies (as of March 2026) and has been enjoyed by a wide range of age groups for 38 years. The latest title, "Momotaro Dentetsu 2 ~Your Town is Surely There~," released on November 13, 2025, has surpassed 1 million cumulative shipments.

Furthermore, since 2023, "Momotaro Dentetsu Education Edition Lite ~Japan is Interesting!~" has been provided free of charge to educational institutions, and has been introduced in approximately 40% of elementary schools nationwide, about 7,900 schools. (As of March 2026. Including junior high schools, high schools, and special needs schools, the total exceeds 14,600 schools.)

The game's concept of "traveling around Japan in a board game format and purchasing specialty products and famous sites as properties" has a very high affinity with regional promotion, and since 2024, it has been working on "Local Revitalization SDGs" in partnership with the Local Revitalization Promotion Office of the Cabinet Office.
