About the Spring Regional High School Baseball Tournaments:
The spring tournament is positioned as a precursor to the National Championship in the summer. The country is divided into 9 blocks, where top teams from prefectural tournaments compete to become the number one in their respective regions. The Spring Kinki Regional Tournament will be held in Kyoto Prefecture, featuring 8 schools (3 from Kyoto, 1 each from other prefectures). The Spring Tohoku Regional Tournament will be held in Aomori Prefecture, featuring 14 schools (3 each from Aomori and Akita, 2 each from other prefectures).
