Yoshito Yahagi: Born in Tokyo in 1961. His father was Kazuto Yahagi, a trainer at Oi Racecourse. He grew up in the stables at Oi Racecourse. After graduating from Kaisei High School, he entered the world of horse racing. After training in Australia, he joined the JRA Ritto Training Center in 1984. He passed the trainer exam on his 14th attempt in 2004. In 2025, his horse Forever Young won the Breeders' Cup Classic in the US and was selected as Horse of the Year. He has won the JRA Award for Most Winning Trainer five times and Most Money-Winning Trainer six times. He is called 'World-class YAHAGI' due to his many achievements overseas. His motto is 'Faith is power.'

Masanori Ariyoshi: Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1957. He started covering horse racing for a sports newspaper in 1982. After moving to The Asahi Shimbun in 1992, he continued to cover horse racing.
