The Chain Museum Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Masamichi Toyama, hereinafter 'The Chain Museum') will hold 'Vivid Ghosts' at 'Art or Rice Noodle or Paichu', a gallery attached to a Taiwanese restaurant in Roppongi operated by our company, from Friday, May 15, 2026, to Saturday, June 13, 2026.
This exhibition aims to observe the current standing of artists who graduated from undergraduate and graduate programs at art universities in the spring of 2026. Participating artists are the Service Center of Contemporary Art, Emika Tsunoda, Yu Tomooka, and Nanami Hamauzu.
Furthermore, by implementing this exhibition continuously every year as a serial project, we aim to document the artists' practices from a fixed point, functioning as a 'stratum' that accumulates in multiple layers. Additionally, through keywords set for each iteration, we aim to reflect the interests and situations of that specific year, making it an opportunity to look back on a cross-section of time over a year.
- The artworks exhibited in this show will be sold exclusively on ArtSticker. All sales will be on a 'first-come, first-served' basis starting at 17:00 on Friday, May 15, 2026. Please contact us in advance if you wish to receive a price list.
- A reception will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 18:00 to 21:00. Prior registration for a free ticket is required to attend. Please register here.

Exhibition Overview
Graduation is generally viewed as a milestone, but simultaneously as the starting point for new activities. However, actual creation is an extension of trials and interests from during enrollment, or even from before that, and does not necessarily entail a clear break.
In this exhibition, while focusing on such continuity, we take a fresh look at the relationship between the practices each artist has accumulated thus far and their current expression.
The exhibited works will range from past pieces to new creations. They showcase a variety of states, from those directly referencing past creations and thoughts to those updated based on current interests. There, viewers will be able to read the overlapping of respective times, such as the continuation or alteration of early attempts, or the reinterpretation of elements once distanced from.
The goal is not to capture the exhibition itself as a single moment, but to present it as a space to reconsider it within the process continuing from the past to the present, and to show how each artist's practice is positioned amidst the intersection of multiple time axes.
