The Chain Museum Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Masamichi Toyama, hereinafter "The Chain Museum") has begun implementing its art communication platform "ArtSticker" ticket sales system for the exhibition "ARTISANAL" to be held from Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

This exhibition commemorates the publication of the new archive book "0 0 10," which systematically documents Maison Martin Margiela's "Artisanal" works. In addition to the "Artisanal" works featured in the book, this exhibition, organized by LA MUSEUM, also curates Artisanal works created by Marina Yee, who was a close friend of Martin Margiela and a member of the Antwerp Six active in the same era.

Exhibition Overview

The exhibition "ARTISANAL" shines a spotlight on the Artisanal works created by Martin Margiela himself from 1989 to 2009. Approximately 50 selected works from the extensive archives included in the new archive book "0 0 10" will be exhibited at the venue.

"Artisanal" was an attempt to challenge the existing fashion system that constantly creates new trends, emphasizing respect for existing garments. It involved utilizing the characteristics of materials, re-dyeing old materials, adding embellishments, and breathing new life into them through manual work. Through this exhibition and book, you can experience the aesthetics envisioned by Martin and Marina.

In the "Lab Space," approximately 70 Artisanal works by Martin Margiela will be displayed, allowing visitors to directly touch and examine the works, including their internal structures, stitching, and details.
