Since its first event in 2020, Art Para Fukagawa has welcomed a cumulative total of 646,000 visitors (according to our organization) and will celebrate its 7th year this year. It is a citizen's art festival that aims to create a society where people live together, by allowing visitors to encounter the colorful art created by people with disabilities while strolling through the town, fostering interest in the artists' backgrounds, and encouraging people to connect and understand each other through conversation.

This year, we will hold the "Art Para Fukagawa Grand Prize 2026," a national competition held every two years. To shed light on more talents, we will significantly expand the number of selected works to approximately 200 and awarded works to approximately 50, making it one of the largest competitions of its kind in Japan. The total number of applications for the first to fourth national competitions was 2,366.

In addition to providing grants for artistic activities such as one Grand Prize (500,000 yen), one Runner-up Prize (300,000 yen), and four Special Jury Prizes (50,000 yen each), we will also offer benefits such as the production and presentation of postcards of the awarded and selected works.
