"Art Aquarium Exhibition Nagoya 2026" will be held from Friday, July 24, 2026, to Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at "Chunichi Hall & Conference" in Sakae, Nagoya. In anticipation of the event, general tickets (timed entry) will go on sale starting today, Wednesday, July 1st, at 12:00 PM.
In 2026, Nagoya will feature popular works from the Ginza permanent exhibition for the first time, such as the vibrant "Hanamai" (Flower Dance) with its colorful flowers, and "Chouchin Kaido" (Lantern Street) where aquariums are designed to resemble lanterns. Additionally, many new works will be unveiled for the first time at Art Aquarium, including a "Tea Room" and an "Azumaya" (Gazebo)! (Details will be announced at the opening.) This exhibition is designed to be enjoyed by first-time visitors as well as those who attended last year! Please come and experience the Art Aquarium Exhibition, a summer tradition.
Furthermore, tickets including the "Mysteries of Goldfish and Art Aquarium" lecture, which will be held on Wednesday, July 29th, and Friday, August 21st, are also on sale starting today! This is a special ticket that combines the "Mysteries of Goldfish and Art Aquarium" lecture by expert staff with admission to the Art Aquarium exhibition. As a participation bonus, a goldfish encyclopedia leaflet will be presented! *To secure your seat, please be sure to purchase tickets (free tickets) for the children who will be attending (elementary school age and younger). (As this is a popular lecture, sales will end once all seats are filled.)
Witness the elegant swimming of cute goldfish. A luxurious time to experience their fleeting sparkle and emotions with all five senses and free your mind. We invite you to experience a refreshing moment this summer, forgetting the hustle and bustle of daily life and the summer heat while gazing at goldfish swaying and dancing on the water's surface.

What is Art Aquarium?
An immersive entertainment art form that uses light, scent, and sound to create a world with swimming goldfish in aquariums.
"Art Aquarium" presents a unique world where Japanese tradition and cutting-edge art merge, expressing the Edo-period culture of goldfish viewing as contemporary artwork.
A world of fantasy unfolds with the sculptural beauty of the aquarium works, the spatial design, and the goldfish of various beauties.
Since its inception in Tokyo in 2007, it has been held as a limited-time event across the country, with summer events in Tokyo becoming a regular fixture.
In August 2020, the first permanent museum opened in Nihonbashi, Tokyo (Chuo-ku, Tokyo).
It later relocated to Ginza, Tokyo (8th Floor, Ginza Mitsukoshi New Building, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) in May 2022 and is currently in operation. It is an entertainment museum IP boasting a cumulative attendance of 13 million people since 2007 (as of October 2025).
