Arks Japan's Sakamoto and Tanaka were invited by Professor Yukihiro Maruyama of Chinzai Gakuin University and gave a special lecture on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the regular course "Data Science II" for the Department of Economics and Policy. The concentrated lecture, titled "Social and Business Applications of Generative AI," consisted of four sessions, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. It was a day of practical learning that combined lectures with hands-on exercises, realistically conveying how AI is actually utilized in the business world. We are very grateful for this valuable opportunity.
Background of the Lecture
This lecture was prompted by a request from Professor Maruyama of Chinzai Gakuin University, who asked us to "convey to students who are about to enter society how AI is actually used in the business world." While we usually focus on AI implementation support and corporate training for companies, we gratefully accepted this opportunity to give back to students the knowledge we have cultivated there, leading to our登壇 (appearance).

Designing and delivering interactive lectures combining lectures and hands-on training
Session 1: Fundamentals of Generative AI and its Expansion into Society
We explained the fundamental concepts of generative AI and its impact on business and society. The session proceeded in a way that allowed participants to realistically experience the actual operation of AI, interspersed with live demonstrations of the latest tools.

Session 2: Prompt Engineering Hands-on
Participants learned the basics of prompt engineering by actually operating AI tools. They engaged in a practical format where each person operated the tool and experienced changes in output.
Session 3: AI Use Cases by Job Type
We introduced AI use cases for various job types such as sales, marketing, and planning. By concretely explaining how AI is used in actual business settings, we provided learning with a real-world feel.
Session 4: Skills and Career in the AI Era
We explained the skills required and changes in working styles in the AI era. We provided an opportunity to consider one's own career from the perspective of "how to master AI" rather than the anxiety of "AI taking away jobs."
Impressive Efforts of the Students
Throughout the lecture, the students' extremely enthusiastic engagement was impressive. What surprised us most was the sharpness of the questions posed by the students. Especially regarding the practical application of AI, profound questions were raised one after another, and there were many occasions when the instructors were genuinely impressed. Moreover, many students created results beyond our imagination in the workshop where they built systems using AI, and their innovative thinking greatly stimulated us. Their flexible perspective and lack of preconceptions taught us in return.
