### Background In recent years, the importance of unmanned and autonomous technologies has been increasing in the field of defense and security. In particular, Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) are expected to be used in various applications, such as reducing the burden on personnel and supporting activities in dangerous areas. Among these applications, 'follow-me driving with personnel or vehicles' is a fundamental function for practical operations. We recognize that this requires high-level integration of complex technologies such as high-precision recognition of targets, continuous tracking, and appropriate path generation.

### Overview of the Initiative In this service, we studied and verified technologies for UGVs to recognize targets such as personnel and vehicles and autonomously follow them while maintaining a certain distance. Specifically, in addition to detecting and tracking following targets, we confirmed the feasibility of re-identification when a target is temporarily lost, path prediction based on target behavior, and the generation of following paths. Furthermore, we evaluated the potential for practical application through verification using multiple sensor configurations including cameras and LiDAR, as well as off-road environment data.

### Future Outlook We will continue to propose further technological advancements for the practical operation of UGVs.
