4. NAMIKO (NIBOSHI&) Artist Profile

Born in Aichi Prefecture. Fascinated by 'niboshi' (dried sardines) that do not lose their brilliance even when dried, she creates works daily with 'niboshi' as her main motif. In her painting activities, she depicts works with themes of crowds and aspiration for life, winning awards such as Red Bull Ignition Osaka / Amerikamura Streetlight Art Project, Konica Minolta x Pen Magazine Eco & Art Award, and SHIBUYA ART AWARDS. Currently, in addition to niboshi works, she collaborates with aquariums and companies nationwide with her colorful colored pencil works focusing on fish, creating collaborative goods and holding solo exhibitions. In 2024, she held her first overseas solo exhibition at 'Aquarium de Paris' in Paris.

Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium, opened on October 31, 2025, on the 7th floor of Credo Motomachi / Pacela in the center of Hiroshima City, is an experiential aquarium based on the concept of 'Museum of Water and Life,' exhibiting approximately 200 species and 3,000 creatures.
