AQUARIUM×ART átoa (hereinafter referred to as "Atoa") will be holding a trial exhibition of the "Proprietary Tool for Automatically Recording and Analyzing the Behavior of Captive Animals Using Image AI" (hereinafter referred to as "this tool"), which is being jointly developed with Kobe Digital-Lab Inc. (Hyogo Prefecture, Kobe City, Chuo-ku, President and CEO Shinichi Tamaki, hereinafter referred to as "KDL"). This tool is being developed to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of environmental enrichment (※) conducted by Atoa. At the same time, it is a participatory exhibition that offers a two-way learning experience, allowing visitors to naturally engage with animal behavior and ecology while the AI grows through their participation. Through this trial exhibition, we plan to verify usability and necessary functions for visitors and provide feedback for the development towards full-scale exhibition and operation. Atoa's Capybara
Exhibition Overview We have completed the prototype of this tool and will be conducting a trial exhibition targeting capybaras. Visitors will be able to circle the capybaras in the images (a process called annotation) and select (record) their actions via tablets installed in the exhibition area. As the input image data increases to 100, 200, 500, and 1000 images, the AI's ability to determine when, where, and what the capybara is doing from the images will improve. By using this AI analysis tool, which is nurtured by visitors, it will be possible to track capybara behavior in detail over long periods, enabling objective evaluation of which environmental enrichment is effective. iPad Input Screen
