Applied Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Takahiro Konishi; hereinafter "Applied Technology") has begun pre-provisioning the "Internal Scaffolding Function" of "BooT.one," an add-in tool for Autodesk Revit, jointly developed with SUGIKO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Ryo Sugiyama; hereinafter "SUGIKO"), which operates a temporary equipment rental business. This pre-provisioning started on March 31st to quickly reflect on-site feedback.
The addition of this function significantly streamlines the scaffolding planning for internal scaffolding, which has traditionally been difficult to create BIM models for, thereby promoting the utilization of temporary BIM in construction sites.
Background of Development: Giving Shape to On-site Needs for Temporary Planning Using BIM
As the use of BIM is promoted in the construction industry, the demand for temporary planning using BIM is also increasing at construction sites. However, a challenge has been the complexity and difficulty of creating BIM models for internal scaffolding in areas such as stairwells, atriums, and escalator installation locations.
In response, Applied Technology has systematized SUGIKO's vast knowledge, which provides over 100 scaffolding BIM projects annually. This tool supports SUGIKO's next-generation scaffolding "Albatross" and enables even users unfamiliar with Autodesk Revit operations to intuitively and safely place scaffolding based on established rules.
Key Features of the Internal Scaffolding Function
Intuitive UI
It provides an interface that allows visual selection of necessary components and drag-and-drop operations.
Rich Functions Including Automatic Placement
・ Automatic Column Placement: Automatically places columns at specified positions according to set conditions.
・ Component Placement: Allows free placement of various scaffolding components onto the placed columns.
・ Single Pipe Placement: For single pipes, which are often placed flexibly and expediently, they can be easily placed at specified locations, and clamps are automatically placed on contacting columns.
・ Wall Tie Placement: Wall ties, whose installation positions vary depending on the situation, can be easily installed not only on columns but also between columns.
・ Automatic Stage Placement: Stages can be automatically placed on the erected scaffolding according to various set conditions. Depending on the placement situation, stage handrails, placement in different directions, and gap-filling plates are also arranged.
・ Automatic Scaffolding Placement: Places scaffolding all at once within a pre-defined area.

Future Developments: Function Updates Including Integration with Quantity Take-off Tool ".one QS" Scheduled for Late May
Applied Technology will continue to expand the BIM ecosystem centered around BooT.one.
As a next step, function updates are planned for late May 2026, including integration with ".one QS," a tool provided by Applied Technology that can take off quantities and volumes from BIM models, as well as optimization and enhancement of placement rules and drawing accuracy. We will continue to promote further improvements in practicality and ease of use.
Through integration with .one QS, it will be possible to automatically calculate the required number of components immediately from BIM models created with the internal scaffolding function. By connecting design to estimation and ordering with data, we will contribute to further improving productivity at construction sites.
