Kurohalio Launches "Automatic Transaction Change List β" for Batch Correction of freee Accounting Transaction Data, Enabling Flexible Tagging and Automatic Account Title Conversion Based on Industry, Store Name, and Purchased Items

This feature utilizes the foundation of the patent-pending "Automatic Transaction Change" function, allowing users to comprehensively create and manage change rules in a list format.

■ Development Background: The Hassle of "Fine-Tuning" After OCR Input

In recent years, functions that read receipts and invoices using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and automatically convert them into accounting data (such as freee Accounting*'s "File Auto-Entry β") have been released, and input operations have begun to be dramatically streamlined. However, in actual practice, "fine-tuning (correction)" after reading is still absolutely necessary, such as "I want to categorize payments made at store A as meeting expenses" or "If a specific store name is included, I want to rewrite the tax rate and department according to our company's unique rules." To automate this "final step of correction" and to enable intuitive, centralized management of these rules, we developed this feature.

■ Features of the New "Automatic Transaction Change List β" Function

1. Manage Change Rules in a "List Format"

Applying the mechanism of the patent-pending Automatic Transaction Change function, it is now possible to comprehensively create and manage multiple change conditions (rules), which were previously singular, in a list format. This allows companies to easily build and overview their own unique rulebook in a browser for simple transaction changes that do not require detailed settings, specifying "what to change under which conditions."

2. Automatically Correct Tags, Account Titles, etc., to the "Ideal Form" Based on Store Name and Tax Rate

Text data such as descriptions (industry + store name, etc.) and tax rate information read by OCR can be set as triggers. This means that the moment incomplete transaction data imported by File Auto-Entry β, etc., matches a rule in the list, it will be automatically corrected to the "ideal form" according to the company's accounting rules, including flexible tag assignment and changes to appropriate tax classifications and account titles.

3. Inherits the Reliable "Rollback Function"

Similar to the underlying "Automatic Transaction Change" function, this feature includes a "rollback function" that allows users to revert automatically processed transactions to their original state on a per-change basis. Even with powerful batch processing linked to OCR, users can proceed with automation with peace of mind, without fear of incorrect processing.
