APA Hotel <Oyama Ekimae> (tentative name) Scheduled to Open in Summer 2027!

APA Hotel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 3-2-3 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Fumiko Motoya), which operates the largest nationwide APA Hotel network with 1,148 hotels and 148,077 rooms (including those under construction/design, overseas, and APA Direct participating hotels), has signed a franchise agreement with Hito Communications Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 1-1-1 Mikawacho, Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture; Representative Director: Tsuneo Koike). They have agreed to open APA Hotel <Oyama Ekimae> (tentative name) in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, in the summer of 2027 (planned), and a groundbreaking ceremony was held today at the hotel's planned site (1-55, 66 Ekihigashi, Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture).

During the celebratory remarks, APA Hotel Co., Ltd. President Fumiko Motoya stated, "I am delighted that the Oyama Station front project, which has been planned for 10 years, can celebrate its groundbreaking ceremony today. When the hotel is completed, I hope that Hito Communications will manage it wonderfully, and we will strive to make everyone say it was good that APA Hotel opened in this area."

APA Hotel <Oyama Ekimae> (tentative name) is characterized by its convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the East Exit of Oyama Station, where various JR lines converge, and a minimum of 40 minutes from Tokyo Station by Tohoku Shinkansen. Oyama City is located in the southern part of Tochigi Prefecture, serving as a hub for transportation networks and a key city for nearby urban clusters, establishing its status as the second-largest city in the prefecture after Utsunomiya, the prefectural capital.

The design will be carried out by APA Group, planning the latest specifications of the APA Hotel concept "New Urban Hotel" ("High Quality," "High Function," "Environmentally Friendly"), with a total of 187 rooms. This will be the second APA Hotel in Tochigi Prefecture, complementing the currently operating APA Hotel <Utsunomiya Ekimae> (164 rooms, Utsunomiya City).

Hito Communications Co., Ltd. currently operates six APA Hotels as a franchisee, primarily in the northern Kanto region, including the aforementioned APA Hotel <Utsunomiya Ekimae>. This project marks their seventh franchise agreement.
