The Public Interest Incorporated Foundation APA Japan Revival Foundation hereby announces the selection guidelines for the 9th "APA Japan Revival Award".
The "APA Japan Revival Award" system selects the most outstanding works from books published and papers presented within the last five years, based on recommendations from nominators and judged by a selection committee in light of the award's purpose. (https://ajrf.jp/taisho/index.html)

Through the establishment of this award system, the Foundation aims to promote research in fields such as modern and contemporary history, international relations, and politics/policy that contribute to the growth and development of Japan, our proud homeland, and to widely disseminate excellent research achievements. To enhance the social significance of this award, the prize money has been set at 5 million yen.
This year marks the 9th iteration of the "APA Japan Revival Award" system, and past 8 award winners have been active in various fields for the revival of "Japan, a nation to be proud of." We will continue to contribute to the growth and development of our country by discovering and disseminating outstanding works this time as well.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has aimed to "nurture individuals with a correct view of the nation, the world, and history, to help the Japanese people regain the pride in their country lost due to self-deprecating historical views, and to foster the growth and development of Japan, our proud homeland." As public interest projects, it plans and operates the "True Modern and Contemporary History View" essay contest and "Shohei Juku." Having received certification for its public interest activities from the Cabinet Office, it established the "APA Japan Revival Award" system.
