Aoyama Trading Co., Ltd. The pants are designed for business settings, combining a refined appearance with the highest stretch performance in SUIT SQUARE’s history. As businesswear has become more diverse in recent years, more people are choosing casual items such as polo shirts and chinos for summer business style. At the same time, many situations, including important meetings and presentations during client visits, still call for a polished appearance even in hot weather. In response to customer requests for summer pants that look proper while offering functionality and ease of movement, Aoyama Trading developed business pants that combine a neat appearance with comfortable wear and cooling performance. The new product uses a thin contact-cooling fabric with a high polyurethane content. While existing 2-way stretch business pants are based on a vertical stretch rate of 7%, this fabric stretches 42% vertically, about six times more than previous products. The vertical stretch helps the legs move more smoothly and reduces stress during outings and long business trips. The pants also feature processing that helps the center crease remain intact, maintaining a neat impression in important business situations. The “Hinnobi Saiko Pants” carry product number 59561308P and are available in light gray and navy. The material is 87% polyester and 13% polyurethane. Sizes range from 3S to 6L, with 10 sizes in total. The price is 9,889 yen including tax, and the pants are sold at all SUIT SQUARE stores and through the official online store. Fabric features include approximately six times the vertical stretch and twice the horizontal stretch compared with the company’s own 2-way stretch business pants, allowing smoother movement and reducing tightness and snagging during long travel. The fabric has an elegant wool-like appearance, giving a trustworthy impression. The center pleats are treated to resist fading, helping preserve a clean look. The pants are also wrinkle-resistant, quick-drying after washing, and easy to care for. A separate item in the same “Hinnobi Pants” series is the “Hinnobi Smactive Pants,” product number 59561310P. It is available in navy, light gray, and gray, made from 91% polyester and 9% polyurethane. Sizes range from SS to 5L, with eight sizes in total. In addition to the basic “Hinnobi Saiko Pants,” which resemble suit trousers, the series includes the “Hinnobi Smactive Pants,” featuring shirring on the side waist and a slim silhouette. “Smactive” is a coined term combining “smart” and “active,” and is the name of a SUIT SQUARE series focused on urban, modern design. Kengo Sato, Manager of the Second Product Department, commented that the new “Hinnobi Pants” use an extremely stretchy fabric similar to those used in outdoor wear. Because thin and stretchy fabrics are difficult to sew, they had rarely been used for items such as businesswear, which require a structured appearance. However, after repeated trial and error with manufacturers, the company succeeded in creating summer pants that support comfortable movement.
