New Executive Appointment Accelerates Business Expansion Toward Social Implementation of Side Hustles

Another works, operator of the side-hustle matching platform 'Fukugyo Cloud' connecting individuals with companies and local governments, has announced the appointment of Soichi Toyama as Executive Officer and Head of Public Division to strengthen its business and management structure.

■ Background of Appointment
Since its founding in May 2019, Another works has promoted the concept of 'Fukugyo' (side-hustles) as an essential working style where individuals can have multiple locations for professional engagement, achieving goals such as financial rewards, skill acquisition, career growth, and self-realization. As of June 2026, their flagship platform, 'Fukugyo Cloud,' has exceeded 100,000 registered talents, 2,500 cumulative adoptions, and is now used by over 250 local governments.

In recent years, local governments have faced shifting environments, struggling with issues such as population decline, talent shortages, and the need for DX (digital transformation), which traditional administrative methods find difficult to address. Consequently, the demand for side-hustle talent with specialized knowledge and skills is rising nationwide as a new method for problem-solving.

Born in Inagi City, Tokyo. Joined Another works in February 2021. After working in corporate sales, he participated in the launch of 'Fukugyo Cloud for Public.' In about five years since the service's launch, he has promoted its adoption in over 250 local governments and drove administrative reform regarding side-hustles. Appointed as an Executive Officer in May 2026. He also serves as the Unit Head for Public Policy & Public-Private Co-creation at the Sharing Economy Association, co-representative of the National Platform for Promoting Dual Residency, and participates as a regional revitalization entrepreneur in Atsuma, Hokkaido, since January 2025.
