Nyan Poster Created with 222 Beloved Cats via CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding

ANIMANECT Inc. is participating in the planning and operation as the secretariat for the Nekofes Executive Committee.

Regarding the "2nd Nekofes 2026," we will release information on all guests, the main stage timetable, venue map, and exhibitor list in preparation for the event to be held on August 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun), 2026.

"2nd Nekofes 2026" is an experiential event for cat lovers, held at the GMO Arena Saitama (formerly Saitama Super Arena) Exhibition Hall, with the slogan "Making the Lives of Cats and People Richer."

The venue will feature content that allows attendees to enjoy and learn about the lives of cats and people from various angles, including expert lectures on cat health, medical care, and lifestyle, exhibits by cat-related companies and organizations, stage events by social media creators, character greetings, and participatory events for visitors.

ANIMANECT Inc. will also introduce the "Senior and Pet Coexistence Project," which is being advanced in collaboration with Tsukui Co., Ltd., utilizing the venue.

With less than a month until the event, advance tickets have already sold over 1,100, with fewer than 1,900 remaining from the planned sales quantity. Sales may end once the planned number is reached, including the limited quantity 2-day tickets. Those considering attending are encouraged to apply early through the official website or ticket sales page.

In addition, sales of the Nekofes 2026 official T-shirt have also surpassed 100 units. For this event, considering it is held in mid-summer and for the safety of the cats, pets of all kinds, including cats, are not allowed to accompany visitors.

On the other hand, we are promoting an initiative to make the entire venue "cat-filled" by having attendees wear the official T-shirts. Cats can stay home in a safe place, and visitors can enjoy being surrounded by cats at the venue. This form of participation is also one of the ways to enjoy Nekofes 2026.

"Senior and Pet Coexistence Project" in Collaboration with Tsukui Co., Ltd.

Tsukui Co., Ltd. is a company that provides care services supporting the lives of the elderly, primarily through home care services.

From their position of daily contact with the elderly themselves, their families, and the care and welfare fields, they will cooperate in this joint demonstration project to identify support needs and explore future service models necessary for seniors and pets to continue living together safely.

At the 2nd Nekofes 2026, as an initiative to connect the event's theme "Making the Lives of Cats and People Richer" with social issue resolution, we will introduce the "Senior and Pet Coexistence Project" being advanced in collaboration between ANIMANECT Inc. and Tsukui Co., Ltd.

This project aims to create a society where fewer people give up on living with pets due to age or concerns about future care, and where seniors and pets can live together safely.

The challenges faced by seniors and pets cannot be solved solely by focusing on the "entry" point of acquiring a pet.

It is crucial to design the "exit" strategy, which includes securing a destination and support system for the pet when it becomes difficult to care for them due to hospitalization, entering a facility, cognitive decline, or death.

ANIMANECT will consider the construction of new support models to assist seniors and pets, with connections to the care and welfare fields, including consultations for difficulties in pet ownership, temporary fostering, and re-matching support.

At the venue, we will introduce the overview of this project and gather opinions from seniors themselves, their children supporting them, care and welfare professionals, and attendees living with pets regarding their anxieties and the support needed when pet ownership becomes difficult.

The opinions gathered at the venue will be utilized for future demonstration experiments, service design, and the construction of corporate collaboration models.
