My Dream. To Make Japan's Livestock Industry the Kindest in the World. And to Create a Society from Japan Where "Animal-Friendly Choices" Become the Norm.
Our company supports April Dream, aiming to make Japan's livestock industry the kindest in the world and normalize animal-friendly choices. Founded by veterinarian Noriaki Iwata, who was moved by the suffering of animals in slaughterhouses after 16 years of service, the company seeks to create an economy that respects life. They are actively working towards this dream and are looking for partners, with a crowdfunding campaign launching in April 2026.

Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release is the dream of "Animal Welfare Co., Ltd."

I have stood in slaughterhouses for 16 years as a veterinarian.
There were sights that could only be seen and noticed there. I want to reduce and eliminate the sorrow of voiceless lives from Japan. That's why I quit my stable civil servant job to start a business. I have a dream I want to fulfill.
▍Reason for having this dream
I am a veterinarian who has worked in slaughterhouses for 16 years.
I have witnessed the moment lives ended before my eyes millions of times.
I know better than anyone else what kind of environment those lives lived in.
Livestock raised in cramped cages, filled with stress.
Livestock raised running freely in wide pastures, nurtured by the sun's blessings.
They are all called "meat," but they are entirely different lives.
One day, a conviction became unforgettable in my mind.
The sorrow of voiceless lives will not disappear unless someone turns it into an economy. "I will create an economy that respects life!" If no one else will do it, I will. That determination pulled me away from the stability of being a civil servant.
In September 2023, I left my 16-year career as a civil servant and started my business.
That is the beginning of my dream today.
▍My 5 dreams I want to realize
You might think the dream of "Making Japanese livestock farming the kindest in the world" is too abstract. So, I will write it concretely. These are the 5 things I want to achieve.

▍What I am doing now towards my dream
It would be meaningless for April Dream if I only talked about my dream and ended there. I will report what I am doing at this very moment.

▍Looking for people to join me in this dream
This dream is too big to achieve alone. Honestly, I lack many things right now. But that is why I say this today.

We are not just looking for money. Farmers, restaurant owners, media professionals, policymakers, or simply those who want to "eat this meat" – if there is anyone who can shoulder a part of this dream from their respective positions, I would like to connect with them.
As the very first step, please participate in our crowdfunding (CAMPFIRE, starting April 2026). While delivering "THE HOUBOQ," our animal welfare-certified free-range pork, we will advance this dream.
