On Friday, April 17, 2026, Anesis Inc. (Headquarters: Nagamine-minami, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto; CEO: Tatsuya Kato), in collaboration with its partner companies' association, conducted a cleanup volunteer activity around Suizenji Ezu Lake Park (Hiroki area). A total of 140 people, including employees of the Anesis Group and members of the partner companies' association, participated on the day.

Background of the Event

April 16, 2026, marked the 10-year milestone since the Kumamoto Earthquake. As the city's landscape has recovered a decade after the disaster, we once again asked ourselves, "What can we do for our community?" and planned a local beautification activity together with our partner companies. This activity is not just a cleanup; it is also a step towards passing on the 'spirit of mutual help' we experienced during the earthquake to the next generation and rebuilding a community resilient to future disasters.

Purposes of the Volunteer Activity

1. Protecting Kumamoto's Treasure: 'Groundwater and Scenery'
At Suizenji Ezu Lake Park, we contribute not only to maintaining the scenery but also to conserving the natural environment that nurtures Kumamoto's precious groundwater resources.

2. Building a Disaster-Resilient Network through 'Face-to-Face Relationships'
During the Kumamoto Earthquake, we were saved by the dedicated support of our partner companies, who acted 'for Anesis,' and we keenly felt the importance of mutual help. Through this activity, employees, including those who rarely visit job sites, directly interact with partner companies to deepen our bonds. By building strong relationships of trust in normal times, we have cultivated a system (the power of mutual assistance) that enables swift and reliable help during unforeseen disasters.

3. Strengthening Teamwork through a Game Format
A total of 140 employees and partner companies participated. To go beyond a simple cleanup task, we incorporated a team-based game format to encourage natural communication. Through the experience of working together towards a common goal, we aimed to enhance a sense of teamwork that transcends organizational boundaries.

Volunteer Activity Scenes

Although there were periods of strong sunlight, the weather was perfect for a cleanup volunteer day. At the opening ceremony, the purpose and rules for the day were explained, after which teams decided on their cleanup locations.

This cleanup volunteer activity incorporated a team-based game format to stimulate communication and enhance a sense of teamwork across organizational lines. It was impressive to see Anesis employees, who usually have little contact with the partner companies, actively communicating while cleaning up.

The cleanup lasted about an hour and a half. We collected about 40 bags of trash, including not only plastic bottles and paper waste but also tree branches and unwanted aquatic plants.

After the cleanup, we had lunch together with the members of the partner companies. It became a valuable time to deepen friendships in a relaxed atmosphere.

We, at Anesis Inc., will continue to build strong relationships of trust with our partner companies in normal times, cultivate a system for swift and reliable mutual assistance during disasters, and further strive to improve the beautification of our construction sites, aiming to become a company loved by the community.
