Anesis Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City; Representative Director: Tatsuya Kato)'s custom home division, "Archi House First-Class Architectural Design Office," will hold a two-day event on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, 2026, titled "Model House Viewing & Free Consultation Meeting: Living with a Rain Garden Realized on Irregular Land." This event will allow customers to tour a model house in Tobita, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City, to experience the home's layout and ambiance, and then engage directly with architects to discuss their ideal lifestyle, helping them visualize life in a detached house more concretely.
Background of the Event
Nationwide, the number of new detached house constructions has been decreasing year by year, and Kumamoto is no exception. However, in popular areas like Kumamoto City, Koshi City, and Kikuyo Town, there are still many customers who wish to build a detached house. The reality is that ideal, regular-shaped residential land is scarce in these areas, and even if found, prices are soaring.
As a result, many cases arise where potential land is excluded from consideration due to being "irregular land," leading to abandonment of desired areas or even suspension of home-building plans altogether.
We believe that this background indicates a challenge: there are few opportunities for people to learn about designs that leverage the characteristics of irregular land.
About the "Consultation Meeting to Imagine Life"
Our strength lies in our "design capability that utilizes the shape of the land." We particularly wanted to help those who think, "There's irregular land in my desired area, but..." by having them visit a detached house built on irregular land, thereby assisting them in envisioning their lifestyle and getting one step closer to their ideal home.
At this "Consultation Meeting to Imagine Life," you can do three things:
1. Consult about your home while envisioning your life by looking at examples.
Architects will provide direct advice from a designer's perspective on whether the desired size and number of rooms can be secured even on irregular land.
2. Talk directly with a design professional, not a salesman.
Professionals will assess the potential of land in areas where you like the school district and environment.
3. Consult about home building, including land search and financial planning.
You can get an estimate of the total financial plan, including any additional costs due to the land shape.

The model house, which will be the consultation venue, is located in Tobita, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City.
One of its features is that it is built on irregular land.
Utilizing the potential of this land, which has an area of 356.97㎡ (107.98 tsubo), the strong desire of the architects to "create a one-of-a-kind home" has taken shape.

Design Philosophy
① Visual design to eliminate the subdivision feel
This model house does not clearly separate indoor and outdoor spaces; rather, the entire site is treated as a single space. Although the site is part of a subdivision, by designing it to blend naturally, we were able to eliminate the subdivision feel.
② Emphasis on spatial connection with gardens and lighting plan
We created a design that makes two gardens feel connected by installing sliding windows. These windows act like a path, designed to draw the eye further. Additionally, we made efforts to change the type of lighting installed depending on the position of downlights and the area. This way, the light entering through the windows, from the entrance to the living room and Japanese-style room, is designed to create a beautiful gradient.
③ Connection with family and coexistence with nature
By utilizing the land, incorporating many plants, and using rain gardens and kusari-toi (chain downspouts), we devised ways to feel nature, such as the sound of rainwater falling to the ground and the flow of water. We also aimed to create a gentle connection within the home, where everyone can feel subtly connected.
