Full Program Details (Please see below if you are interested in the specifics) ────────────────────────────────────────────── [Lecture Abstract] Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) possess excellent mechanical and electrical properties and are expected to be applied in a wide range of fields such as electronics, energy, and composite materials. This lecture will explain the basic properties and advantages of CNTs, then focus on "dispersion liquid," which is an important intermediate state for creating components such as thin films, fibers, and composite materials. We will organize the preparation methods, required properties, and evaluation techniques for dispersion liquids and explain related technologies. Furthermore, we will introduce recent R&D trends and application examples in CNT research, focusing on dispersion liquids, including AI/machine learning and experimental automation using robots. This lecture aims to provide inspiration for technical development toward the utilization of CNTs, starting from CNT dispersion liquids.
[Program] 1. Basics of Carbon Nanotubes 1-1 What are CNTs? 1-2 Structure, types, and representative physical properties 1-3 Synthesis methods and their characteristics 1-4 Application examples 2. Basics of Machine Learning in Material Development 2-1 Basic concepts of machine learning (regression, classification, features, etc.) 2-2 Handling material and process data 2-3 Introduction to application examples in the material field 3. CNT Dispersion Liquids (From basics to evaluation) 3-1 Basics of dispersion (aggregation, interaction, stabilization mechanisms) 3-2 Roles and design guidelines for solvents and dispersants 3-3 Dispersion process 3-4 Evaluation methods 4. CNT x Machine Learning/Automated Experiments: R&D examples focusing on dispersion liquids 4-1 Prediction and optimization of CNT dispersion liquids 4-2 Application examples other than CNT dispersion 4-3 Automated experiments and robotics [Q&A]
[Keywords] Carbon nanotubes, dispersion liquid/slurry, machine learning, automated experiments
[Lecture Highlights] We will systematically organize CNTs from the intermediate state of "dispersion liquid," covering the essentials of preparation and evaluation, as well as the latest case studies on accelerating dispersion design using machine learning and automated experiments.
