【Lecture Objective】
Polymers that constitute films and fibers are made of fine and long molecular chains, and their properties are strongly influenced by the molecular orientation and degree of crystallization formed during the stretching process. This seminar will explain the relationship between the structure formed and the properties, based on the fundamentals of stretching, orientation, and crystallization in fibers and films, incorporating the latest research findings. While the properties covered will include birefringence as optical properties, and strength, Young's modulus, and thermal shrinkage as mechanical properties, the concept of controlling structure and properties by stretching conditions is considered applicable to controlling other properties as well.

【Main PR Points of the Lecture】 Films and fibers exhibit unique properties, being strong under tension and flexible under compression. These seemingly contradictory properties are brought about by the structure formed through stretching. This lecture will teach the principles behind this and the basics of property control by stretching conditions. * Product and service names described in this news release are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective companies. * The content described in this news release is as of the date of announcement.
