We support 'April Dream,' a project that aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release is the dream of And People Co., Ltd.

Ethical&SEA Yokohama (operated by And People Co., Ltd., CEO: Hyunsoo Kim), a select shop brand developed by Flag Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Naoko Fukiage), celebrated its 5th anniversary on March 4, 2026.

We would like to share the next dream of Ethical&SEA Yokohama, with gratitude to our customers, brand partners, and the local community who have supported us for five years.

[5 Years of Progress]
Ethical&SEA Yokohama opened on the 2nd floor of Sotetsu Joinus on March 4, 2021. We have continued to select stylish, easy-to-use, and accessible items, responding to the feedback that 'ethical' can seem difficult.

As a shop in a city by the sea, we have prioritized 'Ocean Friendly' initiatives among our SEVEN STORIES. We have been working with the local community on actions to protect the sea, including beach cleanups.

In December 2023, we received the Y-SDGs certification promoted by Yokohama City. This marked a step forward as a partner walking with the city of Yokohama, recognized for our community-based sustainable activities.

Since October 2025, we have been holding 'Ethical Ennichi.' Companies, organizations, and artists engaged in ethical initiatives gather in Yokohama to create a space where people can experience ethical living through workshops and interactions. The circle of participants continues to grow.

Looking back, these five years were built together with our customers and the local community.

[Kind Words from Our Customers]
Every word from our customers over the past five years has been our driving force.
- 'I first came for organic cosmetics, but I realized there were many things I didn't know about, like fair-trade food and plastic-free goods. Now it's my monthly treat.' (30s, female, Yokohama resident)
- 'At the Ethical Ennichi workshop, I made upcycled accessories with my child. I can't forget the look on my daughter's face when she asked, "Is this made from plastic bottle caps?"' (40s, female, visiting with child)
- 'The staff carefully explains the background of the products, so I feel like my shopping is not just consumption, but support.' (20s, female)

[Towards a Future Where Ethical Choices Are the Norm]
Our dream remains the same: a future where ethical choices are the norm. Not by struggling with difficult things, but by choosing what you love and realizing it was ethical all along. That is the future we envision.

Thinking and acting for the sake of the children seven generations ahead—with this value cherished by Native Americans in our hearts, we have taken steps forward since our opening in 2021. Now, on our 5th anniversary, that feeling is even stronger.

Over the next five years, we will further expand the space for experiences through Ethical Ennichi and workshops, delivering more opportunities for people to encounter the ethical lifestyle.

To our customers, brand partners, and the local community: as we expand our reach, every small choice made by each individual will lead to kindness for the sea and the Earth. We will create such a wonderful future together.
