AN Venture Partners Announces Appointment of Yasuhiro Yamada as Advisor

【April 1, 2026 San Francisco, Tokyo】 AN Venture Partners (ANV), a global biotechnology venture capital firm, announced today that Mr. Yasuhiro Yamada, former Executive Director of the Bank of Japan, has joined as an advisor. Mr. Yamada will support ANV's fundraising for its funds and investment activities aimed at developing Japan's biotechnology ecosystem.

Yasuhiro Yamada, Advisor

Mr. Yamada has over 35 years of experience at the Bank of Japan, possessing extensive experience and deep knowledge in the financial sector. He has served as Director-General of the Information System Services Department, Director-General of the Financial System and Bank Examination Department, and General Manager of the Osaka Branch, and also as an Executive Director. After retiring, he served as Senior Advisor at Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd. and Outside Director at Susmed Inc., and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Japan Custody Bank, Ltd. and Outside Director at Nitto Denko Corporation.
