Press Release

May 1, 2026, Amova Asset Management Co., Ltd.

Amova Asset Management Co., Ltd. (formerly Nikko Asset Management Co., Ltd., hereinafter "Amova Asset") has established a new US Small Cap Value Equity Management team within its US subsidiary, Amova Asset Management Americas Inc., aiming to further strengthen its in-house investment capabilities. John S. Albert and Kevin A. Finn, two portfolio managers with over 20 years of extensive investment experience, joined the company on May 1, 2026, to form this team.

Albert and Finn began their careers together at the pension consulting firm "Asset Consulting Group" (St. Louis, Missouri, USA) and have built up a long track record of investment performance as a team. Through their extensive shared experience, they have established a disciplined and highly repeatable investment philosophy focused on risk control and achieving consistent long-term returns. In 2005, they co-founded "Piermont Capital Management," a boutique asset management firm specializing in small-cap stocks. Since then, they have established an investment process that combines systematic evaluation of small-cap value stocks with rigorous fundamental analysis to identify and manage company-specific risks. Their US small-cap value strategy [1] has achieved a solid long-term track record, outperforming its benchmark in 15 out of 18 years of operation.

Mark E. Stockle, Executive Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Amova Asset, and President of Amova Asset Management Americas Inc., stated, "We are delighted to welcome Albert and Finn to Amova Asset. We are confident that their proven approach to identifying unique investment opportunities in the US small-cap market will provide significant value to investors in Japan and around the world as they seek to diversify their portfolios."
