Japanese brand 'Wamonoya Kaya' and illustrator Kyoko Nakamura, known for her 'Neo-Retro Pop' style, have announced their second collaboration collection 'Kiki Kaikai,' launching mid-April 2026. Reinterpreting mysterious Yokai (monsters) as lucky motifs, the collection features two new exclusive patterns: 'Yukaku-zu' (Pleasure Quarter Scene) and 'Tiger.' The 'Yukaku-zu' depicts a vibrant world of Yokai like Nue and Nine-tailed Fox, while the 'Tiger' represents a mythical Nekomata-like beast. The 17-item lineup includes earrings, Goshuin notebooks, tote bags, and apparel such as reversible Haori coats and Sashiko jackets. Items will be available at 18 direct stores nationwide and the official online shop. Kyoko Nakamura, a Kyoto-based illustrator, continues to blend nostalgic Japanese and Chinese elements into a unique pop aesthetic.
