MTV, one of the world's largest music and entertainment channels for youth, has selected BTS as its "ARTIST OF THE MONTH" for April 2026. To commemorate the release of their new album, we will be delivering a month-long special program featuring BTS, including an encore broadcast of a special interview.
"ARTIST OF THE MONTH" is a monthly MTV project that highlights one artist gaining attention both domestically and internationally. We promote their appeal from multiple angles through heavy rotation of their music videos and special programming.
The "ARTIST OF THE MONTH" for April 2026 is BTS, who released their new album "ARIRANG" on March 20. This is their long-awaited new release after approximately 3 years and 9 months, marking the resumption of activities with all seven members. Furthermore, it has been decided that they will hold their largest-ever world tour, "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'," from 2026 to 2027. As the kickoff for their overseas performances, "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN JAPAN" will be held at Tokyo Dome for two days on April 17 and 18.
To celebrate this, MTV will feature a month-long special including BTS's past music videos and an encore broadcast of a special interview program featuring J-Hope and Jimin from 2018.
