Prime Video has significantly expanded its game coverage from last year and is live streaming the 2026 MLB regular season on the Prime Video SPOTV channel. The company has decided to stream 'MLB NEXT PITCH', a baseball information program introducing monthly MLB news and features. The program will be available on the Prime Video SPOTV channel from Friday, June 5, with new episodes updated monthly. This will be Prime Video's first monthly recurring baseball content available with a Prime membership. The program will review the latest MLB news, highlights, and key topics, and introduce the following month's highlights. It will also feature segments that focus on 'abnormal values' in data of notable MLB players. The MC will be actor Akiyoshi Nakao, known for his love of baseball and recent work as an MC. Celebrities and professionals who love baseball will appear as monthly guests. For the first episode, Takuro, the winner of M-1 Grand Prix 2025 who became a topic of conversation for performing a manzai comedy routine at the ceremonial first pitch of a Yomiuri Giants game at Tokyo Dome this year, will appear as a supporter. Masato Yoshii, former manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines who played for three MLB teams and served as pitching coach for the 2023 World Baseball Classic, will appear as a commentator.
