We support 'April Dream,' which aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release is the dream of 'Amateras Space Inc.'

Our mission is to 'expand the scope of human activity.' The core technology supporting this is the space suit.

Amateras Space aims to realize a domestically produced space suit for use on the lunar surface by 2035. Simultaneously, we will deploy technologies cultivated in space suit development—such as environmental control, life support, thermal control, physical protection, biological sensing, and comfort optimization—to the ground from a dual-use perspective, evolving space suits into 'everyday wear' as 'human augmentation devices.' We do not view space suits merely as protective gear for space. They are the ultimate human augmentation system that allows humans to perform safely, comfortably, and at a high level even in environments where they cannot naturally survive. We believe this technology is polished precisely because it aims for the extreme environment of the lunar surface, and at the same time, it holds new value for terrestrial society.

Aiming for Domestic Lunar Space Suits by 2035 Human space exploration is entering a new phase with the Artemis program, commercial space stations, and advancements in transport and space infrastructure. In Japan, development of the 'Lunar Cruiser' by JAXA and Toyota is progressing, accelerating infrastructure development for manned lunar activities. Among these, the space suit is a core technology for humans to work and live in space. On the moon, it is necessary to respond to severe environments such as vacuum, extreme temperature differences, regolith, radiation, and physical load. Therefore, advanced safety design that integrates protection, mobility, thermal control, and long-term operability is required.

Amateras Space is challenging to realize this space suit in Japan. We are participating in the fundamental themes of manned space development under the Space Strategy Fund and are preparing a system to engage in full-scale manned space development. We believe that realizing a domestic lunar space suit will not only enhance Japan's international presence in manned space exploration but also become a crucial technological foundation supporting future manned space development.

Another Pillar: Expanding Space Suits to Everyday Wear Amateras Space views space suits not just as protective gear, but as human augmentation devices that fuse thermal control, life support, materials, and sensing. We see great potential in the terrestrial deployment of cooling undergarments used in space suit technology. In space suits, cooling technology that efficiently recovers heat from the body is essential to balance safety and comfort. We believe this technology is effective for terrestrial issues such as heatstroke prevention. Especially in high-temperature or radiant heat environments, or in workplaces where protective or sealed clothing is worn, there are many situations where fans or Peltier elements have limitations. Water-cooling technology has a major advantage in that it can directly and stably recover heat from the body. Moving forward, we will evolve the technology to include fit, comfort, operability, control based on biological information, weight reduction, and power saving, and implement it in society as a 'wearable thermal control system.' Furthermore, by fusing with advanced material technologies such as smart textiles, we will deploy technologies polished in space to the ground for dual-use, reaching fields such as high-temperature environments, disaster sites, disaster prevention, medical care, construction work, well-being, and longevity.

Polished in Space, Delivered to Earth. And Back to Space Again. Amateras Space is not a company that only talks about philosophy or chases romance. We are a company that implements philosophy into society through technology. We believe that by aiming for space, human thinking itself will be updated. If the scope of activity expands outside the Earth, the premises of society, the body, and values will change. Polishing technology with space as a premise not only creates new technology but also re-questions the possibilities of humans themselves. That is why technology is not just a means for us. Technology is an approach to turning human possibilities into reality. Amateras Space will continue to challenge itself as a new space suit brand and a new human augmentation wear brand, combining technologies and materials from Japan.

About Amateras Space Amateras Space Inc. is a startup with the mission of 'expanding the scope of human activity,' aiming for a society where human thinking and possibilities are highly updated. We are working on technology development centered on space suits, aiming to realize a domestic lunar space suit by 2035. In 2025, we exhibited a space suit applying Nishijin-ori at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, attracting high attention from home and abroad as a symbolic initiative fusing Japanese traditional crafts and advanced space technology. Amateras Space will implement the new value of space suits in society by deploying technologies polished in space to the ground and returning technologies evolved on the ground back to space.

Recruitment of Engineers Amateras Space is currently strengthening the recruitment of engineers who will play a central role in manned space development. We are actively looking for technical leads who can design and integrate manned space development, including ECLSS (Environmental Control and Life Support System), from an overall integrated perspective rather than just individual elements, as well as technical members who will handle practical work in mechanics, fluid dynamics, control, simulation, materials, and chemical processes. We are not looking for just excellent engineers. We are looking for those who can structure the manned space domain, advance from requirement definition to safety design and verification planning, and view this challenge not as a 'job' but as one of the themes to which they dedicate their lives. We look forward to applications from those who want to seriously engage as stakeholders in an era where people live, work, and build society in space.
