● Purpose and Goals of Participation

AMATAMA is focusing on next-generation humanoids using biomimetic technology, with the goal of 'replacing unjust labor,' one of humanity's final challenges.

At the core of R&D is the mission to build a 'multimodal foundation model,' so-called Physical AI, that collects exhaustive physical data from various occupations during work, learns by mimicking human general-purpose and generalization abilities, and enables humanoids to autonomously perform tasks.

Furthermore, the company consistently works on optimal algorithmic structures for such models, computing architecture as a computational resource derived from them, and even hardware for body structure models, covering a wide range from core to peripheral R&D.

Meanwhile, AIRoA was established by universities and companies that have been conducting R&D in the field of Embodied AI long before the term 'Physical AI' became common worldwide. They are already actively engaged in data infrastructure, foundation models, and building development communities, aiming to drive technological innovation through the fusion of robots and AI and promote the use of robots in society.

We agreed with AIRoA's objectives and activity policies and decided to participate as a development member, believing we can contribute.

Currently, fierce development competition is underway mainly in North America and China for first-generation humanoids based on mechanical and information engineering technologies.
