amana Inc. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takeaki Kaneko; hereinafter referred to as "amana"), which realizes communication transformation through creativity, will hold an online seminar on July 21, 2026 (Tue) with the theme "amana creators talk FEATURED ARTIST LIVE [vol.7 Photographer Motoharu Takahashi]".

"amana creators talk" is a series that deeply explores and introduces the appeal of creators.

This time, the featured guest is photographer Motoharu Takahashi, who subtly incorporates faint noise and "quirks" into his serene light and smoky tones. He captures people and products within the same worldview, excelling at creating expressions that leave a subtle sense of unease or resonance in the viewer's mind while maintaining the neatness of advertising.

For this session, we will be joined by amana producer Yohei Mori and Ryota Mishima, an art director at Dentsu who collaborates on his work. They will discuss visual production from their respective standpoints as a photographer, art director, and producer.

In this webinar, we will delve into the thinking process for establishing a unified worldview for people and products, how to incorporate serendipity and a sense of unease into shoots, and methods for creating works that incorporate new technologies such as CG and AI.

Furthermore, we will explore the process of how an art director conceives a concept and combines it with the photographer's sensibility to translate it into visuals in their collaborative work with Mr. Mishima.

This will be an opportunity to gain many insights and hints for those who wish to re-examine how visuals are created in advertising and brand communication, and for those interested in new expression methods and collaboration with creative partners. We encourage you to participate.

Speakers

Motoharu Takahashi

Photographer, amana Inc.

Studied design engineering at university. While learning design thinking centered on programming, he also took snapshots with a film camera every day and experienced craftsmanship in the darkroom.

He captures fleeting, beautiful moments in reality, adding an experimental, analog approach. Even in the studio, he meticulously reproduces the moments that move his heart, which he encounters through his snapshot photography, and works without distinction between subjects such as portraiture and product photography.

Born in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture. After graduating from the Faculty of Design and Engineering at Kyushu University, he worked at ADK Arts, BIRDMAN, KAIBUTSU, and Accenture Song before joining Dentsu's BXCC department in 2023. Starting from visual communication, he engages in development across a wide range of fields, including brand design, service design, and product design, aiming for 360-degree design planning.
