In situations where companies are required to change, perhaps what is needed is not to add new measures, but first to change perspectives.
In many companies, assumptions such as "this is the kind of company we are" or "this is how we should think in this market" unknowingly become the framework for thought and action. However, when transformation is truly needed, isn't the ability to temporarily step away from such preconceptions, shift perspectives, and redefine value from an ideal state what is truly required?
At this event, we welcome Mr. Yutaka Haga, who, after experience in product planning and overseas markets at Sony, now oversees the brand and design domains at LIXIL, to discuss value creation and the implementation of transformation. After joining LIXIL, Mr. Haga led the "Product Development and Design Division," which is responsible for design, product development, and new businesses. He has repeatedly attempted to create discontinuous value that is continuous with existing businesses, such as the detached organization "Business Incubation Center (BIC)," the high-end brand "NODEA," and "SEAMLESS," which was the first Japanese window to receive the "Best of the Best" award at the Red Dot Design Award 2024.
Mr. Gen Koyama, Principal of Customer Value Strategy Unit at ABeam Consulting Ltd., will moderate a dialogue with Mr. Haga, drawing out the perspectives, thinking methods, and clues for transformation behind his work, connecting them to overcoming the stagnation and deadlock that companies currently face.
