This initiative combines Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team members with digital communities (DAOs) to revitalize the region. Originally from Saitama Prefecture. After working in video production and app development at a video production company and a manufacturer, he gained experience in employment-based farming due to his interest in agriculture. He then began freelance work focused on video production and editing, and has continued community activities and social media outreach. Currently, he participates in the Web3 agriculture community "tomajoDAO" and "Metagri Research Institute," where he is responsible for video production, social media, and audio distribution. His strength lies in information dissemination, handling everything from planning and shooting to editing and posting. As a Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team member, he will leverage video and social media to continuously promote Haga Town's charm and work on building relationships with people outside the region.

When I first visited Haga Town, I felt that the simple, everyday life amidst its rich scenery and calm atmosphere was its charm.

I believe that many of these charms can only be noticed by actually visiting the town.

I want to utilize my experience in video production and social media to promote Haga Town's charm, focusing not only on its scenery and local specialties but also on the people who live there and their daily lives.

Furthermore, by utilizing digital communities like DAOs, I want to create opportunities for people outside the town to continuously engage with Haga Town, fostering a flow of "learning about," "becoming interested in," "visiting," and "supporting" the town.

Through information dissemination, I aim to increase the number of Haga Town fans and challenge myself to create new connections between the region and its people.

Originally from Niigata Prefecture. After working at a game development company, he became independent and established his own game development company. After suspending operations due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked as a Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team member in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. He was involved in the planning and operation of Sanjo City's digital stamp rally and the development and release of "Sanjo Jojo," a browser game set in the region, which was featured in radio, newspapers, and game specialty sites. He has now obtained a Regional Project Manager qualification and is considering regional revitalization through digital technology, such as creating relationships with people outside the region using regional DAOs and Web3. He is also contemplating digital content that can be used for regional learning and tourism, set in Haga Town.

When I actually visited Haga Town, I was drawn to the wide, clear sky, the scenic plains, and the relaxed flow of time.

I felt it was a town with an openness and ease of living not found in cities, where one can feel a close connection to nature and people. I believe that the seemingly ordinary scenery and daily life are precisely what make this town unique and a great asset.

My mission is not just to convey Haga Town's charms as mere information, but to present them with a story for each aspect.

By shedding light not only on the region's history, culture, and specialties, but also on the thoughts and activities of its residents and the everyday scenery, I want more people to feel familiar with Haga Town's appeal.

With the opening of the LRT (next-generation streetcar) in Reiwa 5 (2023), transportation infrastructure has been improved to attract visitors who have never been to Haga Town before, creating new flows of people. However, we feel that the promotion of our town's charms has not been sufficient.

We hope that the cooperation team members will unearth the charms of Haga Town and deliver them to the nation and the world through the power of digital technology.

Furthermore, a major theme of this activity is to steadily increase the number of people involved with and supporting the town – our "related population" – beyond just disseminating tourism information.

Through the activities of the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team DAO, we expect that the utilization of new perspectives and digital technology will strengthen the promotion of the town's charms, leading to increased interest in Haga Town from diverse individuals living outside the town, as well as from our residents, and creating opportunities for them to continuously engage in community development.

1. What is a DAO?

A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a digital community where participants gather from all over the country via the internet. Participants are not just fans but actively engage as members of the project, with everyone able to participate in planning and decision-making on an equal footing.

2. Benefits of DAO

Implementing a DAO establishes a system where individuals from outside the municipality can proactively participate in solving local issues. Fresh perspectives and knowledge combine with the aspirations of local residents to create innovative solutions. Active participation deepens understanding and affection for the region, fostering a strong related population.

3. Budget

This initiative will be implemented within the scope of the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team system ("within the scope of special grants" (10/10)). We provide end-to-end services for "recruitment and selection of suitable candidates," "support during tenure," and "provision of digital technology," thereby reducing the burden on municipal staff and supporting DAO establishment.
