What is the Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program?
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's website describes the program as follows:
The Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program is an award system established by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. It aims to 'visualize' large enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, and other organizations that are practicing particularly excellent health and productivity management, thereby creating an environment where they can receive social recognition from employees, job seekers, affiliated companies, and financial institutions.
The program consists of two categories: the 'Large Enterprise Category' for large corporations and the 'Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Category' for smaller businesses.
Organizations certified as 'Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations' are permitted to use the official logo mark and can receive various incentives from local governments and financial institutions.
The Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Recognition Program began its first public call for applications in 2016, the year the system was announced. The first certified organizations for 'Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2017' were announced in February of the following year for both the Large Enterprise and Small and Medium-sized Enterprise categories. We applied for the first time in 2017 and received the 'Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2018 (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Category)' in the following year.
For the 10th iteration, 'Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2026,' 3,765 organizations were recognized in the Large Enterprise category (with the 'White 500' designation added for top-tier organizations), and 23,085 organizations were recognized in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise category (with the 'Bright 500' designation for the top 500, and the 'Next Bright 1000' designation, established in fiscal year 2024, for those ranked 501 to 1,500). The list of certified companies is published alongside the 'Health & Productivity Stock Selection' on the special website 'ACTION! Health & Productivity Management.'
