DJ Multi-Player CDJ-1500X Launched, Inheriting Performance from Flagship Model

AlphaTheta Corporation will launch the DJ multi-player "CDJ-1500X" on July 29, 2026, designed to cater to diverse venues such as music bars and mini clubs.

Background of Launch

The DJ play scene is diversifying beyond festivals and large clubs. In particular, music bars and mini clubs, which have been increasing in recent years, require compact installations, compatibility with turntables, and ease of equipment replacement. In such environments, compact DJ players that can be flexibly combined with various equipment have played an important role. Furthermore, with the spread of music streaming services and the increasing use of cloud technology, there is a growing need for DJ play that is not bound by traditional media and for deeper connections with the audience.

Against this backdrop, we have developed the multi-player CDJ-1500X, which offers flexibility in various environments and enhanced support for DJ play utilizing online media. While inheriting the high quality and operability cultivated with the flagship model CDJ-3000X, we have achieved a compact product size. It supports narrow DJ booths and scenes requiring equipment portability, fitting into diverse installation environments.

It enables a smart workflow through cloud integration and supports rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, allowing direct access to the rekordbox library in the cloud from the unit for DJ play. Additionally, it supports CoBeat, a new service that allows DJs to connect with their audience via mobile devices and receive requests and reactions. This provides a new music experience that enhances the unity of the dance floor.

Compact Design for Flexible Installation in Small Booths

Designed for use in limited spaces such as music bars and mini clubs, we have achieved a compact product size while inheriting the main functions of the flagship model. Its compact size allows for easy installation even in tight spaces, offering flexibility for combinations with turntables and changes to the DJ setup.

10.1-inch Large Screen and High Visibility for Smoother Track Selection and Performance

Equipped with a 10.1-inch capacitive touch panel, equivalent to the flagship CDJ-3000X, it supports smooth track selection and situational judgment, enabling more intuitive DJ performance.

The large display with excellent visibility can simultaneously show up to 15 tracks on the browse screen, allowing for smooth searching of the next track to play. The waveform display provides an intuitive grasp of the song structure, supporting track selection that matches the flow of the moment.

Furthermore, the WAVEFORM screen is equipped with a new display function that allows users to instantly see the vocal position, BPM change points, and phrase structure of a track at a glance. This intuitively conveys the song's progression and mixing timing, supporting performance decisions.

It also supports the PLAYLIST EDIT function, allowing users to freely rearrange tracks within a playlist on the unit.

Additionally, the display background color can be selected from DARK MODE and LIGHT MODE. This maintains screen visibility in various environments, from dark club booths to bright lounges and outdoor events, allowing DJs to focus on their performance with peace of mind.

DJ Play Starting with Just a Smartphone through Cloud Integration and NFC Login

DJ play is possible via StreamingDirectPlay and rekordbox CloudDirectPlay using built-in Wi-Fi®.

In addition to music streaming services such as Apple Music and Beatport Streaming, you can directly access the latest rekordbox library stored in the cloud from the unit. Tracks and playlists can be called up as they are and played from your own library.

Furthermore, NFC login using a mobile device with rekordbox for iOS/Android installed allows for smooth loading of your own settings and playlists. This enables you to start playing without spending time on preparation, as you can reproduce the environment you are accustomed to.

This realizes a new style of DJ play where you can head to the venue with just your smartphone and play from your own library.

New Service "CoBeat" to Deepen Audience Interaction and Create Floor Unity CoBeat is a new service that connects DJs and audiences in real-time, creating a shared music experience on the dance floor. Audiences can participate simply by accessing a QR code from their smartphone and browse a catalog of songs pre-selected by the DJ. They can vote for songs they want to hear or send requests via message. Requests received through CoBeat are displayed on the CDJ-1500X's browse screen, allowing the DJ to incorporate them into their play, creating a new music experience unified with the audience. Furthermore, audiences can express the excitement of the floor and the atmosphere of the moment in real-time using emojis. Sent emojis pop up on the smartphone screen, allowing the DJ to play while feeling the floor's reaction.

Design Harmonizing with Space and High Customizability

With its minimalist user interface and matte black finish, the CDJ-1500X blends naturally into any setup or space. The front of the unit features a slot with LED lighting, equipped with two USB ports (1 x Type-C, 1 x Type-A). The LED light can be selected from 12 colors, allowing for演出 (enchu - performance/display) tailored to the space and scene. USB memory sticks are easy to connect and are stored neatly while preventing accidental disconnection when people move around the booth during performance.

Additionally, the sides of the unit have screw holes for attaching side panels, allowing for exterior customization by attaching panels of different colors and materials.
