[Iwata City x AlphaDrive] Partnership Agreement Signed to Promote "Regional AX" and Pilot "AX Architect Training Program" for City Companies and Officials

AlphaDrive Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO/CAXO: Yoichi Aso; hereinafter "AlphaDrive") and Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture (Mayor: Hiroaki Kusachi) signed a "Partnership Agreement for the Promotion of Regional AX and the Training of AX Architects" on July 8, Reiwa 8 (Wednesday). Based on this agreement, we will work on joint training and support for developing AX architects targeting city officials and local companies.

This initiative marks the first collaboration under Iwata City's "Iwata City AX Vision 2030," announced in May 2026, and AlphaDrive's "Regional AX (Regional AI Transformation)" related services, launched in June 2026.

Background: Why Iwata City and "Regional AX" Now?

On May 8, 2026, Iwata City announced the policy for establishing "Iwata City AX Vision 2030" at a regular mayoral press conference. Mayor Hiroaki Kusachi assumed the role of CAIO (Chief AI Officer) and revealed a policy to lead AI utilization across the entire city government. This vision aims for "an attractive city where people and AI co-create, and everyone can live with peace of mind," and is structured around the following three directions:

1. Enabling officials to utilize AI as a partner to support administrative work. Let AI handle what it can, and share innovations and challenges within the city government. 2. Promoting AI to become familiar to citizens. Utilize AI in daily citizen services and create opportunities for citizens to learn about and try AI. 3. Fostering co-creation between people involved with Iwata City and AI to generate new regional value. Promote AI-assisted dialogue and consensus building, and drive the social implementation of AI by diverse stakeholders.

Meanwhile, AlphaDrive's regional co-creation business, "AlphaDrive REGION," launched its "Regional AX" support service in June 2026 to enhance the earning power of regional companies through AI. When AI usage is divided into "defense = efficiency" and "offense = revenue evolution," Regional AX aims to address both, with a particular focus on the latter – creating new added value and sales for regional companies through AI.

The third direction of Iwata City AX Vision 2030, "generating new regional value," and AlphaDrive REGION's "Regional AX" share a common goal. This partnership agreement and the pilot of the "AX Practice Program" are the first projects to implement this overlap in society.

What is "Regional AX"?

Regional AX is an initiative that enhances the productivity of regional companies, increases their added value and sales through AI, and achieves the creation of regional added value (i.e., the region's "earning power") as envisioned by Regional Revitalization 2.0. Promoting Regional AX requires both defense and offense.

Making current work "faster, easier, and more accurate." Cost reduction usage. Ex.) Automating routine tasks, speeding up document creation.

● Offense = Revenue Evolution (Especially Important)

Creating seeds for new products, services, and sales. Usage that generates new value. Ex.) Designing new products/services based on primary field information.

The personnel who promote this Regional AX are what AlphaDrive defines as "AX Architects."

What is an "AX Architect"?

An AX Architect is a professional who works closely with management to not only improve operational efficiency but also to realize "offensive AI utilization." They are the implementers who drive Regional AX in the field, and their profile has been systematized in AlphaDrive's white paper "The Implementation Theory of AX Architects," released in 2026.

The main point of this agreement and pilot experiment is to verify, together with Iwata City, a training method to "nurture AX Architects within the region, rather than bringing them in from outside, and keep them in the region." This embodies the "social implementation of AI by diverse stakeholders" from Iwata City AX Vision 2030, in the form of nurturing corporate implementers.

This program will integrate training and practical application to build and verify the effectiveness of a training method that "nurtures AX Architects within the region."
