“Tebasaki Sensation,” a female idol group active mainly in Nagoya, also known as “Tebasen,” started its third phase in June of the 25th year. This is a collaboration project with “Sekai no Yamachan” (SY Food Co., Ltd.), a famous restaurant chain also based in Nagoya.
On April 1st, as an April Fool's project, Ms. Kumi Yamamoto, owner of “Sekai no Yamachan,” will make a one-day surprise appearance as a new member (new leader) of “Tebasaki Sensation.”

## “Why did you participate in this Tebasaki Sensation project?”
“Representative Yamamoto”: “Last autumn, when the members visited our head office, I had a very good impression of them, and their pure desire to ‘energize Nagoya’ truly resonated with me. Besides, isn’t ‘Tebasaki Sensation’ a name with incredible impact and humor? (laughs) It’s linked to Nagoya’s famous specialty, and its strong regional flavor makes me feel a deep ‘love for Nagoya.’ Their live performances are also very uplifting. Both Sekai no Yamachan and Tebasaki Sensation originated in Nagoya. I felt that by combining local cultures, this project would be highly significant in creating touchpoints with younger generations and strengthening the dissemination of Nagoya-born culture. Food and entertainment have high affinity, and I hope this initiative will lead to the creation of new value.”
## “How did you feel wearing an idol costume?”
“Representative Yamamoto”: “When I first saw the costume, I thought, ‘It’s so cute!’ I never imagined I’d be on the ‘cute’ side (laughs). But once I tried it on... I thought, ‘Maybe I can pull it off?’ It was a very valuable experience to feel the mindset and tension of someone standing on stage.”

“Tebasen”: “When we first heard about the collaboration, we were very surprised, but we are truly happy to have been given such a wonderful opportunity. As idols from Nagoya, and as idols named ‘Tebasaki’ (chicken wings), we feel immense joy! We will create a ‘sensation’ with ‘Sekai no Yamachan’ and ‘Tebasaki,’ and ‘not just with our words, but with our chicken wings, we will soar into the world!’”

Sekai no Yamachan is a representative of “Nagoya Meshi” (Nagoya cuisine).
On the other hand, Tebasaki Sensation is also a “representative idol of Nagoya.”
This is a multiplication of “Tebasaki × Tebasaki” = local culture, and it will be a symbolic collaboration that transmits “the present of Nagoya”!

Kumi Yamamoto is a Japanese businesswoman. A former elementary school teacher, she is the representative director of SY Food, which operates “Sekai no Yamachan,” an izakaya chain originating in Nagoya.
She became president in 2016 after the death of the founder, Shigeo Yamamoto. Despite an unusual career change from a full-time housewife, she achieved re-growth by implementing organizational reforms and measures for new customers, boosting sales to a record high.
