[Swissôtel Nankai Osaka] Whisky Seminar Featuring "Yamazaki," "Yamazaki 12 Year Old," and "Yamazaki 18 Year Old" Tastings, with Yuzo Ishihara, Suntory's 5th Master of Whisky, as Special Lecturer

Osaka, Japan – Swissôtel Nankai Osaka (Location: Chuo-ku, Osaka; General Manager: Shane Edwards), with roots in Switzerland, will host an event titled "Whisky Social" on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at its 6th-floor Whisky & Wine "Shun," inviting Mr. Yuzo Ishihara, Suntory's 5th Master of Whisky, as a special lecturer.

Whisky & Wine "Shun" holds the "Whisky Social" event every month, welcoming both whisky enthusiasts and those who are new to enjoying whisky. In April, we are honored to have Mr. Yuzo Ishihara, Suntory's 5th Master of Whisky, as our special lecturer to introduce the charm and enjoyment of the single malt whisky "Yamazaki." The Master of Whisky is the highest qualification in the whisky connoisseur certification system organized by the Whisky Culture Research Institute, with only a few individuals holding this title in Japan. Mr. Ishihara, with his many years of experience in the whisky industry, will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the profound world of Yamazaki from his unique perspective.

On the day of the event, participants can enjoy the differences in aroma and taste through a comparative tasting of the single malt whiskies "Yamazaki," "Yamazaki 12 Year Old," and "Yamazaki 18 Year Old." Notably, "Yamazaki 12 Year Old" and "Yamazaki 18 Year Old" are known to be increasingly difficult to obtain in recent years, making this a valuable opportunity to taste and compare these rare expressions.

Following the seminar, a free flow of Suntory Single Malt Whisky "Yamazaki" will be served along with dishes from "Shun." You can spend a relaxing time in a calm atmosphere with live jazz music.
