Mercure Wakayama Kushimoto Resort & Spa, managed by General Manager Kazunori Tanaka, is situated on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Kushimoto-cho, Higashimuro-gun, Wakayama Prefecture. The resort is introducing two distinct nature-focused accommodation packages. The first, a "Hands-free BBQ Plan," allows guests to enjoy a barbecue at "Michi-no-Eki Ichiimaiwa monolith," which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the hotel. This location offers views of the "Ichiimaiwa," a nationally designated natural monument in Kozagawa Town. The plan includes a 1-night, 2-day stay with dinner, breakfast, and lunch buffets, access to the lounge and hot springs. The second offering is a "Tent Sauna Experience Plan," providing a private tent sauna by the Kozagawa River, also near "Ichiimaiwa." This plan includes a 1-night, 2-day stay with dinner and breakfast buffets, lounge access, and hot springs. Both plans are available for stays between April 25, 2026, and May 31, 2026, with reservations accepted until May 20, 2026. Each plan is limited to one group per day. The BBQ service starts at 10:00 AM on the check-out day, and the tent sauna experience is available for up to two hours, starting at 9:00 AM on the check-out day.
