General Incorporated Association ALIVE (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masuhiko Shoji), which operates Japan’s largest cross-boundary learning program for next-generation leadership development, announces its latest activities and upcoming events.
This press release provides information on how to participate in various events, contact details, and details about the monthly free online consultation sessions.
The ALIVE Project (corporate training program) launched in 2017, primarily in the Eastern Japan region, and has since welcomed a cumulative total of 437 companies and 2,182 participants. The project has addressed challenges for 109 recipient organizations, fostering next-generation leadership through co-creation with diverse companies and groups.
◆ What is the 'ALIVE Project'?
|A cross-boundary learning program connecting social issues with business talent to create change for companies, individuals, and society
Approximately 60 business leaders from multiple companies form cross-industry and cross-functional teams to address real management and business challenges faced by organizations tackling social issues. Over a 3-month period with four sessions, they propose solutions.
Participants engage in collaboration with members possessing diverse values and expertise, practical problem-solving, and continuous reflection and mutual feedback, enabling them to re-evaluate and grow their leadership capabilities.
For more detailed information, please visit the website below. It includes project details, cost estimates, testimonials from participating companies and participants, and past social issue themes.

◆ 90% Said 'Most Engaging Ever'! First-Ever Compact ALIVE 'ACTIVE' Program Held
| The 'ACTIVE' program, designed for easy access to cross-boundary learning, was held for the first time in Shizuoka (May 21–22, 2026).
The ALIVE Project 'CENTRAL' for the Chubu region is scheduled to launch in fall 2026.
However, feedback indicated challenges such as 'no ALIVE alumni within the company, making it difficult to commit to a 7-day program' and 'limited opportunities to communicate the value of cross-boundary learning internally.'
To address this, ALIVE held its first-ever 2-day compact program 'ACTIVE' in Shizuoka, offering a more accessible way to experience cross-boundary learning.
In participant surveys, 90% responded that it was 'the most engaging training compared to past experiences' and 'provided the newest or among the most valuable learnings.'
Participants shared feedback such as 'I felt like I used my brain fully for two days' and 'deep interactions with participants from other companies and industries provided practical insights applicable to my work.' Many also expressed interest in participating in the full 3-month ALIVE program in the future.
The next 'ACTIVE' session has not yet been scheduled. Those interested in the program are encouraged to contact the inquiry details provided at the end of this article.
