"Nekotan! ~Nekomachi Kaii Kitan~" is an original Showa Modern x Cat content based on the world of "Nekomachi," the only novel by poet Sakutaro Hagiwara, who is called the "Father of Modern Japanese Poetry." It is a thrilling, shocking, and suspenseful detective tale set in "Nekomachi," a town where only cats live. The protagonist, Mayoji Somali, and his partner, Shohta Amemiya, two detectives from the Amuro Detective Agency, take on various cases that unfold in "Nekomachi" alongside a cast of unique characters!

In "The Legend of the Snow Yaksha: A Cat-Killing Incident," the second episode, set in the snowy luxury resort town of <Nyaseko>, the duo tackles an "impossible crime." This is a cat-killing incident that occurs surrounding the "Snow Yaksha Legend," passed down through generations of the prestigious Karane-ko clan. Can the two detectives from the Amuro Detective Agency find the culprit cat and return safely to Nekomachi!? A thrilling detective drama where the brilliant detective duo unravels the mystery hidden within the case and identifies the culprit cat!

With a total of 36 voice actors and a narrator, the play will be performed 9 times from September 16 (Wed) to 20 (Sun), 2026, at Owl Spot in Ikebukuro.

The Legend of the Snow Yaksha: A Cat-Killing Incident

Mayoji Somali, a detective cat who acts on impulse and is full of innocent charm, runs the Amuro Detective Agency with Shohta Amemiya, a sharp ex-detective cat who loves smoking. One snowy day—the two are skiing down a snow-covered slope. The setting is <Nyaseko>, a secluded winter luxury resort frequented by the wealthy. They are visiting the villa of Rian Saiberian, an elegant, sophisticated, and mysterious wealthy cat. By chance, Somali encounters "a certain legend" passed down through generations of a prestigious clan. The peaceful time is short-lived as a bloody cat-killing incident occurs... What's more, it's an "impossible crime" that cats should never be able to commit. Ashura Hyo descends by parachute from the blizzard-filled sky, and Futaro Oshi appears with an ostentatious entourage... Furthermore, Sakutaro is operating a food stall on the ski slopes... As a cast of unique characters gather in the snow-covered mountain villa, the case escalates. Can the two detectives from the Amuro Detective Agency find the culprit cat and return safely to Nekomachi!? The fourth installment of this thrilling detective drama where the brilliant detective duo unravels the culprit cat!
