ALGO ARTIS Inc. (CEO: Kentaro Nagata, Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereafter "ALGO ARTIS") has officially launched its package solution for the pharmaceutical industry after enhancing its functions through trials with multiple pharmaceutical companies.

Since announcing its expansion into the pharmaceutical industry in 2025, the company has been promoting verification in multiple areas, including with manufacturers of over-the-counter drugs, OEM manufacturers, and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturers. Through practical initiatives, it has grasped the unique planning challenges of the pharmaceutical industry and is promoting an integrated approach that includes not only production planning but also the test planning domain.

These initiatives and specific case studies will be introduced at the "Pharma IT & Digital Health Expo 2026" to be held in April 2026.

Initiatives in the Pharmaceutical Industry Since announcing its entry into the pharmaceutical industry in February 2025, our company has been promoting trials in multiple areas, including with manufacturers of over-the-counter drugs, OEM manufacturers, and API manufacturers.

Through verification tailored to the actual operations of each company, we are working to advance planning operations that can handle the complex constraints unique to the pharmaceutical industry.

Challenges and Countermeasures in Pharmaceutical Planning Operations Through trials with four pharmaceutical companies and practical verification, we have identified the following operational issues and needs: - Frequent and large demand fluctuations, causing a significant burden for each adjustment. - Disconnection between production planning and test planning, making overall optimization difficult. - Complicated management due to combinations of test ingredients, equipment, and staff skills. - Proliferation of information silos and person-dependent processes due to Excel-based operations. - Growing need for integrated management that includes test planning in addition to production planning.

Based on these challenges, our package solution has been enhanced with functions to cover the test planning domain, enabling the integrated handling of multiple planning tasks.

Introducing Specific Case Studies from Trials at the Expo In our efforts so far, we have worked on the following planning DX initiatives: - Streamlining plan revisions by linking production and test plans at an over-the-counter drug manufacturer. - Flexible plan creationに対応した at an OEM manufacturer to accommodate detailed order units and delivery constraints. - Integration of fragmented information between departments and overall optimization at an API manufacturer.

These case studies will be presented at the "Pharma IT & Digital Health Expo 2026," held from Tuesday, April 21 to Thursday, April 23.
